Getting involved

There are a lot of ways that a parent or family member can help make Pack 3 even better, and as a parent run organization, we are always looking for assistance and connections. Please fill out this Google Form to express interest in helping in some way, and someone from Pack Leadership will reach out to you. 

Open Pack Positions

Below are some of the positions currently open and in need of volunteers within the Pack. If interested in volunteering but cannot commit to any items listed below, please fill out this Google Form to let us know how you can help!

Position: Incoming Lion Den Leader
Starts:  September/October 2024
Description/Responsibilities: Den leader would be responsible for organizing 1 monthly meeting for cub scouts in the den toward acheivement of den rank and belt loops. Den leader will be able to work with other den leaders and Pack Leadership to learn and understand the most effective way to organize these meetings and acheive advancements. Den leader will need to take the required online training through Boy Scouts of America. Den Leader will take part in a Leadership Planning meeting each month, or every other month. 

Position: Membership Chair
Starts:  Immediate
Description/Responsibilities: The Membership Chair would work alongside Pack Leadership to expand Pack Membership through recruitment initiatives and engagement within the local school communities. Chair will need to take the required online training through Boy Scouts of America to become a leader. Chair will take part in a Leadership Planning meeting each month, or every other month. 

Position: Pinewood Derby Chair
Starts:  Immediate
Description/Responsibilities: The Pinewood Derby Chair would work to plan the annual Pinewood Derby race, normally held in late January/February. In addition, the Chair would be responsible for gathering volunteers for track setup the night before the event, and breakdown after the event. Chair may need to take the required online training through Boy Scouts of America. 

Position: Fundraising Chair
Starts:  Immediate
Description/Responsibilities: The Fundraising Chair would work with the Pack Leadership to plan fundraising opportunities for scouts throughout the year. May be responsible for heading select initiatives, which would involve communication of details to the Pack member families, collection of funds, and distribution of fundraised materials (if applicable). Chair will need to take the required online training through Boy Scouts of America to become a leader. Chair will take part in a Leadership Planning meeting each month, or every other month.
